Avery is playing on a soccer team for the first time. At first, she had a really hard time because she didn't understand the game very well. She was upset that no one would 'give her a turn' with the ball. Soccer at her age is like 9 against 1 (the 1 being whoever happens to have the ball at the moment.) She isn't super aggressive so she usually hangs out near the back of the pack, but every once in a while, she'll work her way in and get the ball.
Lately, she has enjoyed being goalie. I had to laugh, at her last night, she was the goalie, and turned to me saying, 'it's not fair, my team is too good so I never get the ball.' Her team trounced their competition yesterday and the ball was always at the other side of the field, so Avery, as the goalie never even had to try to get the ball.

LOL...reading your post made me remember when Micah first started playing soccer. It was kind of funny to see about 9 kids chasing after the one who had it. And I think I even got a similar comment from Micah when he played goalie and the ball never came down his way. :)
