I purposely did not tell Rob about Zane's little mishap yesterday while he was at work. I wanted to see his reaction, knowing full well he was going to flip out (he used to complain when ever I would take him to get his hair trimmed).
The kids and I were out in the front yard yesterday waiting for Rob to get home from work. He pulls into the garage, gets out of his car, and comes over to where I am standing. I was holding Cole, and I saw Rob do quick scope of the yard looking for Zane. (Zane was sitting in race car right by me). Rob turned to me and said where's Zane? I looked down at the buzzed haired kid next to me and said right there. It took a second for it to register with Rob and then he yelled, "OH. MY. GOSH!!!! What Happened?" I told him the story about the two hair cuts.
Once inside the house, I showed him the pile of hair Zane had cut off his head (I saved it so he wouldn't think I had over reacted by having his head buzzed). Anyways, Zane's hair is sure taking some getting used to. I kept asking him yesterday if he was still Zane because he looks so different. His answer to my question is, "I'm not Zane, I'm Zurg" (he currently has a Toy Story 2 obsession). So yep, he's definitely still my little boy.
