Why is it that sometimes I can think of so many things to blog about and then there are days like today where I have nothing to say. I sat down at the computer over 2 hours ago to blog. I was going to tell you all about yesterday and how none of my kids got up when they were supposed to. (We had a power outage over the weekend and the kids got the am/pm switched on their clocks.) But I just wasn't feeling it.
I also thought about telling you about how I made everyone except for Cole clean the grout in the kitchen with a tooth brush for family night last night. Yeah, I pulled a fast one there. We always spend Monday night as a family so at dinner last night, I asked Rob if he had anything in mind. He thought for a minute before he said that he hadn't even thought about it. So I said, Good! We're all going to do some cleaning together. I've had cleaning the grout on my goal list for quite some time now. It's one of those chores I hate doing, it's slow going and tedious. As much as I love my kitchen, it's got a lot of tile which translates into a lot of grout to clean.
So after all the dishes were done I pulled out 5 old toothbrushes, showed everyone how to do it and away we scrubbed. The kids (Rob included) weren't thrilled, it was a far cry from the games and fun activities we usually do, but hey, this is something that needed to get done. We all worked (some better than others) for about 20 minutes and got about 1/3 of the floor done. We spent the time we were working talking and joking. They all admitted that it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be. When we were done, we gave the kids a treat.
I'll betcha anything that next Monday night Rob will have something in mind for us all to do!!!
