Zoo

Rob didn't have school or work yesterday so we took the kids to the zoo in Salt Lake City. All week Avery had been telling us she was so excited to go. Friday finally came, and off we went (only leaving an hour after we'd originally planned). We ended up buying a year's membership at the zoo. We only have to go 1.5 more times to make it worth the cost. We spent a few hours walking around the zoo looking at the animals. Avery and Zane loved the monkeys (gee, I wonder why?) and Shalyn liked the baby giraffe. Before we left, we let the kids ride on the train.

After leaving the zoo, we went to one of our favorite restaurants, Sweet Tomatoes. The only one in the area is in Salt Lake County (about 45 min away from our house) so we took advantage of being up that way and indulged our taste buds. We were all exhausted when we arrived home last night.
