RX trouble!

So, I mentioned yesterday that Zane loves his medicine. Today, Zane got his medicine off the counter and was begging me to give it to him. He accidentally dropped the bottle on the floor and it broke!!! I'd love to strangle the distributors of the medicine for putting it in a glass bottle. I called the pharmacy to see if they could do anything for me, they couldn't, and suggested I call my pediatrician. So, I called and left a message with the nurse. She called me back a little while later and told my she would call in a new rx for Zane. So lucky me, I got to go back to the land of incompetence---aka wal-mart. They told me they hadn't filled it yet because the insurance wouldn't pay for it. I asked how much it would cost if I paid out of pocket for it--$88.00 was the answer. (Thanks a lot Zane!) The pharmacist offered to call our insurance company and ask if they would over-ride the denial. After a few minutes, she came back and said they will do one prescription over-ride per person on the policy. Gratefully, I said, "Yes! have them over-ride it." So I walked out having only paid 15.00 for the rx instead of 88. Now the bottle is safely hidden from Zane.
