The kids are on spring break right now. To many people, Spring break means fun in the sun and sandy beaches. Unfortunately in Utah right now spring break means snow. Yesterday was gorgeous, the hottest day of the year. The thermometer topped out at 80 degrees. My kids spent hours playing outside riding bikes, blowing bubbles, and even asked to go swimming. The weather man warned us last night that today would be colder. As he put it, Monday was a June day, but on Tuesday it would be a February day. He wasn't kidding! The first half of the day was nice, then the cold front arrived and it's been snowing now for several hours.
In other news, I gave Cole his first haircut today. His long, Elvis like sideburns are history. We have a portrait appointment scheduled for him tomorrow. His sleeping has greatly improved the past few nights. Last night he slept for six hours straight. During that time, I got four hours of uninterrupted sleep! I guess my body was shocked because after Cole finished nursing I couldn't fall back to sleep. I was up for a good two hours. By the time I fell asleep, Cole woke up 45 minutes after that.
Congrats to Amy and Leslie for finishing their first year of college today! (I almost said 'for finishing your freshman year' but then I remembered that both of you had so much freaking AP credit neither of you are freshman!) Rob's last day of classes are tomorrow---Hurray!!!!
