Please Sleep!

Cole has decided that sleep is optional. Wait, let me rephrase that, sleep at night is optional. Over the past two weeks he has progressively become worse. When Cole was first born, he'd only sleep in my arms. When I would put him down, be it on the floor, bed, carseat, etc. within five minutes he'd be awake. It took him about a month and a variety of sleeping situations before he would finally sleep in his bassinett. Shortly after that, he learned how to put himself to sleep. All I had to do was make sure he was fed, swaddle him, give him his paci then put him in his bed. Within a few minutes he falls asleep. He still prefers to sleep in my arms, but at one point he was sleeping anywhere from six-seven hours at night in his bed before waking up. Then he started waking every four hours and last week he was getting up every three hours. Unfortunatley this week, you guessed it, he's been getting up every two hours. It generally takes me about thirty minutes to feed him and get him back down, leaving only ninety minutes before he's back up again. My 3.5 month old is waking up more than a newborn does at night. Now tonight, he's refusing to go to sleep. He's fallen asleep several times but only stays alseep for a few minutes before he's awake and screaming.

I'm nearing the end of my rope. I'm exhausted, Rob is at work, Shalyn is at her dad's, so it's just me and the screaming wonder tonight.
