Can't you sit still for 2 seconds?....Please?

Trying as I might, I simply can not get anything done today. Rob and I have both been sick all week (the boys have too, but it doesn't seem to be slowing them down) so the house looks like a tornado has gone through it, literally. Actually that tornado's name is Zane. My parents are coming back into town tonight so I'm trying to make the house look at least presentable. Zane is following me around un-doing everything I'm doing. I was trying to clean the kitchen so what does Zane do? He takes the glass of chocolate milk he'd begged me for and dumped it over his head.

Ok, so that mess gets cleaned up. I move onto to the living room. I had just gotten done vacuuming the floor when Zane decides it would be a great idea to get the Ziploc bag of caramel corn and dump it all over the living room floor. I don't even know how many piles of folded clothes he's thrown on the floor only to have to fold them again.

About two minutes ago as I was taking a break and using this blog to get my frustrations out, that little....um, I could think of a thousand words to call him right now, grabbed the power cord and unplugged the computer. Thank goodness blog spot does an auto save every few seconds!

I've been meaning to get on here and write a few funny (aka, not destructive) things Avery and Zane have done the past few days. As the weather begins to warm up here, the kids are wanting to play outside more and more. Rob and I decided to give Avery a re-fresher course on safety and strangers. We probably spent 10 minutes or so giving her the schpeal about not talking to stranger, accepting anything from strangers, or going anywhere with strangers. When we were done, we started quizzing her to see how much of it stuck. When we asked her what she would do if a stranger offered her candy, she thought for a minute before answering, "I'd say thank-you." So much for that!

At dinner the other night Zane didn't want his steak, so he took his cut up bite sized pieces and put them on my plate while saying, "I share share."

As of today, I can finally spill the secret I've been holding onto for several months now. I'm going to be an aunt again. My sister, Laura is expecting her 3rd (her boys are almost 13 and 9 years) and due in October. I can't say how long I've been holding onto this secret because her husband would probably be mad if he found I knew before he did! ;)
