Finals are over, spring has come and new jobs are about to start. This means that Amy and Leslie have left Utah for the summer. My parents arrived late Wednesday night, spent all of Thursday helping Amy and Leslie pack and clean their dorms, had some 'play time' on Friday (more about that later), first thing this morning, they piled in the car and are currently driving back to California. It's been really fun having Amy and Leslie living so close for the past year. My kids have come to associate visiting them with chocolate donuts and trips to the vending machines. Even Zane knows the drill, no visit is complete until Amy or Leslie take him to the vending machine to chose a treat (almost always chocolate donuts.) My kids are going to be so disappointed when they learn that next year Amy and Leslie aren't living in the dorms.
Yesterday we had a ball! Leslie somehow convinced my parents to rent out a place called the Power Tumbling Gym. There are several trampolines, a foam pit, gymnastics mats, a huge rat-type-wheel for humans, a big blow up teeter totter, and a variety of other fun things. All my kids had a blast (even Cole who enjoyed being held and cuddled by my aunt, cousin, sister, and my mom. ) Avery like swinging on the rope into the foam pit, Shalyn loved the 'wheel', Zane had fun running around and being silly. I even managed to do a front flip off the trampoline into the pit. We think this will be a great place to go to for Shalyn's birthday party this summer.
(FYI---ET stands for Evil twins! no, they're not really evil, it's just a nickname they were given as toddlers that has stuck!)
