Vacation Day 3 (Sunday)

Remove Formatting from selectionToday was a Sea Day---We slept in until 8:30 and the headed up to the Lido for breakfast. After breakfast Rob and I decided to walk. We went to the outside track on deck 11 and walked 2 miles. The seas were much calmer today, only 4 foot swells. Since the seas had been so rough on our departure, rather than sailing out in the open Atlantic ocean, we sailed the Bahama Channel. It was pretty cool, we sailed along the coast of Cuba. We didn't see any rafts filled with Cubans though. It was still pretty windy out, but not like the 86 kilometers per hour it was yesterday.

After walking we went back to our room to shower and get ready for the day. We decided to check out the 'majority rules trivia' it was really stupid so we left and went to find Jana and Bryan. We went back to the Lido for lunch (wait...didn't we just have breakfast?) After lunch we popped into the 'meet and greet' for cruise critic. I had been reading the forums and chatting with some of them for almost a year. It was nice to put faces with screen names.

We spent the rest of the afternoon lounging on the Serenity Deck in their super comfy chaise lounges. We read and slept. Tonight was the first of two Elegant nights. After we had soaked up a lot of sun we went back to our room to get all decked out for the big night. We got some professional pictures taken, and then we took turns w/ the Qberrys taking each others pictures. We tried to get some pictures taken outside with the ocean in the background but it was still super windy so we look oh so fabulous in the outside pictures. LOL

For dinner, Rob ate 4 lobsters. He'd only asked for 2, but they kept bring him more each time he finished one. After the 4th he old them no more. I had a delicious strawberry soup for an appetizer and prime rib for the entree, it was really yummy.

After dinner we went to the "Big Easy" production. It was a New Orleans dancing, singing, jazz kind of show. It was ok---not really my genre of music. Rob and I spent the rest of the evening at the piano bar, 70's disco and comedy show.
