Better start

Today is off to a much better start than yesterday. For starters, early Monday morning (around 4am) both boys were in our bed. That would be fine, except they both wanted me, and they wanted me all to themselves. I tried laying with one arm Zane and Cole on my chest, but they kept screaming at each other and crying. Zane was saying he wanted 'Colie' to go away and Cole was trying to kick Zane. Rob and I were laughing and them, and Rob was trying to convince one of the boys to let him snuggle them. No dice, they both wanted mommy. We finally got them settled back down around 5 and Rob and I both fell back to sleep.

Shalyn is usually the first one up at our house. I woke up 15 minutes after she usually gets up and I noticed the house was still dark. I didn't worry about it, she had showered the night before so I figured she was sleeping in a little. I fell back to sleep. The next thing I know Avery is in our room. A quick panic sets in, I check my clock it was after 7:30. I told Avery to hurry to Shalyn's room and tell her to get up. At some point in the night, Shalyn had turned off her alarm clock. The bus came 15 minutes before she woke up. School was starting 20 minutes after she woke up. I made her some toast while she got dressed. We flew out the door and she made it to school with about 5 minutes to spare.

The rest of the day was spent the same way, hurrying from one place to another. I went to one grocery store after Avery went to school, then had a 2 hour meeting, ran home to feed the kids lunch, then went up to Orem to Costco and Mervyns, and then I hit another grocery store on the way home. I got home 10 minutes after Shalyn did from school. Then, I got her out the door for her group piano lesson. I had about 20 minutes to sit and breath before I had another errand to run before picking her up from piano. Got home, started dinner, ate dinner, and cleaned up dinner. Shalyn got the boys ready for bed while I was cleaning up the kitchen, then we watched Wall-E as a family until it was the 3 little one's bed time. I was so exhausted! What a crazy day.
