I love to take scalding hot showers, none of this luke warm stuff for me. For some reason, the first shower of the day is luke warm at best, so on days when I have to take the first shower, I turn on the hot water and let it run for about 5 minutes, then I turn it off, and then wait about 5 minutes before taking my shower.
Everyone bathed/showered last night, so this morning I had to let the water run. When I got back from aerobics, I turned on the kitchen faucet and walked away. I went in the den and checked facebook and some of the blogs I follow. I figured the water had been on long enough so I went back to the kitchen to turn off the water. The sink was completely full of water and the water was just barely starting to spill over the edge. Oops! When I turned on the water I didn't realize the mixing bowl from the brownies I made last night was in there plugging up the drain.
