Last night Avery got to have date night with mom and dad. She wanted to go bowling at Fat Cats. Fat Cats is located in a sober college town, so Friday and Saturday nights there are usually really busy. We tried to beat the crowds by getting there before 5, but alas we still had to wait for a lane. Avery played in the kids zone (a little room with a slide and punching bags) while we waited. Let me tell you, bowling is so much better for kids now than it was when I was little. They programed it so when it was Avery's turn gutter blockers would automatically pop up. Maybe I should have them do that for me next time ;) ? Rob and I talked about how when we were little, bowling alleys were smokey and disgusting. We'd have to go home and shower because you'd walk out of there reeking like smoke.
Avery had a blast bowling. She even managed to find a pink bowling ball to use. After bowling, we met up with my sister, Leslie at the Mall. For Leslie's June wedding, all the little nieces are going to be dressed alike. She had already bought the skirts and now just needed to find shirts to go with them. Avery tried on shirts and Justice and at Gymboree. Leslie picked the light pink shirt from Gymboree. At the mall, Avery got to go into her favorite stores, Disney store, and Build-A-Bear (she didn't get to buy anything though.) After the mall, we went to Krispy Kreme for donuts. Avery loves watching them make the donuts! She chose a donut decorated for Valentines. Avery had a great night. Next month, it's Shalyn's turn.

Can't you see how much she loved being a 'model'?

Bowling alleys are still smokey and NOT kid friendly here in NC. So if you want a blast from the past, come on over.
Can I go on a date next time with you guys!? How dang FUN! I love that picture of Avery and the frown!
