It Shouldn't be so hard....

My little sister, Leslie is getting married in just under two weeks. I wanted to get a new dress to wear to her wedding. Who would have thought it would be so hard to find a dress. I went to several stores and couldn't find anything. The only requirements I had was that it needed to have sleeves (short, long, 3/4, I didn't really care), and be at least knee length. Other than that, I didn't care what color or what style. Thank goodness I wasn't looking for a specific style of dress because I can guarantee you I wouldn't have been able to find it. When we took Cole out on Saturday night, I looked in a couple of stores at the University Mall. Everything I found was either a suit (no thanks) or was made out of stretchy material, you know the kind that clings to you and shows off everything that it shouldn't. On Monday I tried again, I went to Ross, TJ Max, Burlington Coat Factor, and Kohls and found nothing. Later Monday night we decided to get out of the house so I suggested we go to the Town Center Mall. Finally at Dillards I found a cute dress on clearance for 13.50 (orig 98) I liked the dress okay, but didn't want it for the wedding. I bought it though, I'm a sucker for a bargain. I checked JCPenny's, nothing there. Then I went to Sears and found a dress. Seriously though, does it have to be so hard? Are women just not wearing dresses these days? I can't believe buying a dress can be so hard. Especially when I had such low expectations.
(The gold dress with the ivory sweater is for the wedding, the one with the yellow sweater was the 13.50 one).
