Shalyn finally got to go on her date with her parents 2 weekends ago. Between illness and a busy schedule we finally got to have a fun evening with her. Initally she wanted to go to TGI Fridays for dinner and then to see the movie Taken. Our first stop was the movie theater to buy the tickets. The line was really long and the movie was going to be starting in a hour. There wasn't going to be time to get through the line, have a sit down dinner and be back in time for the show to start. We gave her the option to choose some place else for dinner and still go to the movie or we could go to Fridays and then do something else. She chose Fridays. So we went to dinner and then to the Riverwoods to go shopping. We spent a lot of time in Borders. We bought her a few books and then we went to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for dessert. Shalyn loves their caramel apples. One of the high schools was having prom that night and a lot of couples went to Tucanos for dinner, as we were walking by Tucanos on the way to the Chocolate factory, Shalyn had fun looking at all the pretty girls and their dresses. We had a great evening out with Shalyn and the little kids were good for their babysitter.
