What to do....?

Zane did not want to go to bed last night. When he was put in his crib, he started screaming and having a huge tantrum. About 30 seconds later, there was a loud thump, followed by Zane wailing. I had no doubt as to what had just happened. I ran (pushing Avery out of the way) from the living room to Zane's room. Upon opening his door, my instinct was confirmed, Zane had indeed fallen/thrown himself out of his crib.

He wasn't hurt badly, but he was a little shaken up. About a minute later, my doorbell rang, it was my neighbor, Jana saying she was here to help. She had no idea what had just happened, but she knew Rob was working and I was trying to get kids to bed, including a sick Cole (more on that later.) She figured I could use her help, which I definitely could! She held and comforted Zane while I got Cole ready for bed.

So now that we all know Zane can (unsafely) get out of his crib what do we do? I have been trying since Thanksgiving to get him to sleep in his toddler bed but he has flatly refused. I want to keep my little boy safe, but I also need him to go to bed. I'm open to suggestions!!!

How about a crib tent? You know that thing you put over the top of the crib so they can't climb out? I am pretty sure Katie uses one for Jake.

Just a thought...thankfully my toddler loves her bed but it took awhile to get her to STAY in it!
