My blog has been grossly neglected over the past several months. Life has been chugging on, getting increasing busier everyday! March was such a crazy month: I made two separate trips to California for two funerals (Liz Hatch-a dear friend and mother figure, and my grandma-age 93), there were two birthdays: Tate turned 1 on St. Patrick's Day, and Rob's birthday was near the end of the month, Shalyn had weekly competitions for her drumline, Cole began meeting with the speech therapist at the elementary school once a week, not to mention the normal everyday craziness of our house.
April was just as busy as March. The kids had spring break, Shalyn had two separate State Competions for the two percussion groups she is in, a choir competition, Tate had surgery (Tubes in his ears), and Zane got to register for Kindergarten.
May has been so busy with the winding down of school. Avery had two dance recitals, a piano recital, her 2nd grade program, and started softball. Zane graduated from preschool (both of them), turned 5 and had a party with all his friends. Cole ended his speech therapy for the school year, registered for pre-school and had to endure sitting through his sibling's events. Shalyn had her end of the year percussion concert, choir concert, piano recital, on top of the hanging out that's part of being a teenager. Tate is doing great with his tubes. He hasn't had to go to the doctors since his well check in March. This is a huge deal. Prior to his tubes he had monthly ear infections.
