Last Day of School

Even though it doesn't feel anything like summer outside, the girls are now on summer vacation. Both girls finished up the school year with excellent grades. Avery got all E's (excellent) and Shalyn earned all A's (2 were A-).

I don't know why I even bothered to send Shalyn to school yesterday. At her school, they have A days and B days. Each day has 4 classes and they alternate every other day. Yesterday being the last day they were supposed to go to all their A days, then after their 4th period A class they started over and go to all the B day classes. Each class was only 20 minutes. She started off in her 1A class English-they played a game
2A -percussion ensemble--some kids helped sort music everyone else just sat around
3A-PE-she sat in the bleachers and read
4A-Biology-she was the only one who showed up. The teacher told her she was welcome to stay, but if he turned his head and she was gone that was okay with him too. At this point Shalyn said forget this and she left and spent the rest of the day in the seminary building and back in the band room.Shalyn and her bestie, Danielle

Avery's day was a little more organized. I don't think they did much but they got their 'yearbooks' and got their friends to autograph it. I think they played some games and her teacher read to them.
Now that it's summer, Shalyn's life is about to get extra busy. She leaves on Monday for EFY until Saturday. The next day she leaves for California for 3 weeks. She is pretty much going to be gone for the entire month of July :(
