What do I say about this boy?!?! He's three years old and is so curious and inquisitive that I almost always have a story to tell about him. His vacuuming obsession is still in full swing. He begs me several times everyday to let him vacuum (more on that in a minute).
He has always had in interesting taste for sour things. When we go out to eat, he always wants a lemon in his cup so he can take it out and suck on it. This past week he found the lime juice in the refrigerator. I watched him open it and take a swig. He grimaced a little and then took another gulp. He did this about 10 times. Unbeknown to me, when he was done drinking lime juice, he got one of Cole's sippy cups and poured lime juice in it. Later, Cole went into the kitchen wanting a drink and saw his sippy sitting there. He grabbed it, shook it (his way of checking if there's something in it) and took a drink. After a sip he made the biggest grimace and his whole body from the chest up shook in disgust. Zane also happened to be standing there and knowing that he'd been drinking lime juice a little bit earlier I asked him what was in Cole's cup. "Lime juice" he reliped. Well, at least he was honest.
Yesterday Zane was taught a valuable (hopefully) lesson. He loves to carry around our cat George. While he was holding George, Zane turned on the vacuum because he wanted to try to vacuum the cat. Zane didn't anticipate the noise of the vacuum scaring the cat. Zane ended up with several scratches on his arm and tummy. Zane needs to make a mental note to never hold a cat and turn on a loud appliance at the same time.
