brief spring overview

Obviously I am so far behind on blogging that I don't know where to start. I have had the best of intentions all summer on catching up on life since Tate was born but honestly, I've had little time/or desire to blog. I wanted to blog about the end of the school year for the 3 oldest kids. Zane completed his first year of pre-school and loved every minute of it. They had the cutest end of the year program with singing. He was bummed all summer long about not being able to go to school. Zane turned 4 in May and got to have his first friend party.Avery did awesome in 1st grade. That girl is so smart that at times it's scary. She has the memory of an elephant, out of the blue she'll bring up something that happened years ago that we've long since forgot about. Shortly before Tate was born, she started taking piano lessons. She loves the idea of it, but hates having to be disciplined to practice. She's progressed extremely fast and continues to do great.

Shalyn completed 9th grade with a 4.0 all year. Her school had an end of the year awards ceremony. Most kids didn't receive any awards, Shalyn got 4. She received awards for excellent spanish student, excellent science student, excellent CTE student, and the Continual Student Improvement award.
Cole is still our resident stinker. He has been the best big brother to Tate, he loves his to death. When Tate was just a week or two old, he'd been napping in his car seat on my bedroom floor. I guess Cole heard him crying and went running. When I got there, I found Tate lying on the floor on his tummy and Cole sitting next to him looking triumphant. He'd tried to help his baby brother get out of his car seat. After that, we started keeping our bedroom door closed when ever Tate was napping. Cole also mastered potty training at the end of May. Yay Cole!

Tate is growing like a weed! He is such a happy, sweet baby. We are so glad he's apart of our family. The only thing I'd like to change about his is his sleeping! He started out as one of my best sleepers. Up until he was 12 weeks old he was fabulous, sleeping up to 8 hours at a time during the night. Something happened after he hit 12 weeks and has been up every 2 or 3 hours a night since then. Yuck!!!

So there you have it! Our channel 13 news does world news in a minute where they tell you all the world news in 60 seconds. Well, here's our spring in a minute!
