These days on here it's either feast or famine! I'll do several blogs in a day and then weeks will go by with nothing. In my defense, it's summer and we've done some traveling and life in general has been busy. In the past three weeks, we've been to California, Shalyn has been to girl's camp, we've gone on two dates with our kids, Avery has started swimming lessons, Rob has been working tons of hours (60+ last week alone) and not to mention the daily chores that come with being a mom of four. In addition to all that, over the past several months we've been in a legal battle with my ex (over a ridiculous issue). We thought it was over (in our favor) at the beginning of the month, but his attorney filed an appeal so we'll go to court (again) for a final time (at least on this matter) on Thursday.

Our summer started off busy, and it's going to stay that way. Shalyn only has two weeks the rest of the summer she'll be home--how crazy is that! We have a two week road trip to the East Coast coming up soon. We're all really excited about that. We're making many stops on the way, Nauvoo, IL, St Louis, MO, lunch at one of my favorite spots, Corky's (nothing beat's their BBQ) in Nashville, then on to South Carolina to spend several days with Rob's family. We'll be taking the southern route back home, stopping in FL to visit the beach, New Orleans, Vicksburg, Dallas, and Carlsbad Caverns. The kids can't wait to see the bats fly out of the caverns when it's dark. We'll also hit 4 corners on our way back into Utah. Shalyn will be leaving the day after we get back to spend three weeks with her dad in CA. When she gets home from there, she'll be leaving the next day to go to a youth conference.

We've been having unusually rainy weather. We're bummed because we have season passes to a local water park and we've only been able to go a few times so far because the weather has been uncooperative.
